Free shuttle will be provided by the hotel in and out of the airport on arrival/departure.
Below is the instruction on getting the free shuttle ride to the hotel:
Once your guests get their luggage, they need to go to the bottom level of the airport (Level Zero) They will cross the street and see a hotel shuttle phone. They push the button that says Super 8 Hotel and it will ring to the front desk. It normally takes 10-15 minutes after they call for the shuttle to arrive. Our shuttle is white and it says Super 8 Hotel on the side. |
Rooms & Rates

$40.26 per day for a room (!!!) . Room has 2 double beds and can be shared by 2 people.
This rate will hold for those who desire to stay 1-2 days before or after the official tournament days.
Few suites (2 rooms with extra sofa-bed, which are ideal for 3-4 people to share the same room) are available for $59.36. Small number of microwaves and refrigerators will be distributed on the "first come, first serve" basis.
Accommodations fees shall be paid to the hotel directly upon arrival. |
Food
|
Currently there is no meal plan available. No breakfast is provided by the hotel, but there is free coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day.
ICAONA will try to get drinks and light snacks during the games. |
Schedule
|
Arrival day is March 15, 2012. and the departure is either .
Opening ceremony will be held on March 16, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. followed by round #1 at 2:00 p.m.
Most other rounds will likely start in the morning (between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m.) with free evenings and afternoons to enjoy the town.
If possible, a free day will be provided during the games for the optional sightseeing tour.
The closing ceremony will occur on the afternoon of March 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., therefore plan your departure not earlier than 5 p.m. on March 25, 2012 (March 26, 2012 is better). |
Time Control |
Fisher system: 1 hour 20 minutes per game + 1 minute added per move. |

$120 ($100 for ICAONA members in good standing, i.e., members who paid their current membership dues before February 28, 2012). |

Monetary prizes will be awarded for leading places in US Open Tournament,
US National Championship and Blitz Tournament (4 +1 time control).

Please confirm your participation as ASAP but no later than February 28, 2012. If you are interested in special arrangement (suite, microwave and/or fridge) - you should send your request and payment deposit before we run out of them. In general, there is a limited space for a playing hall and hotel rooms, so we advice all interested players to send us your request as early as possible, as there is a possibility that we may not be able to accept everyone.
After that the players can only be accepted if there are vacancies in the hotel and the price per room may be higher at that point. To confirm your participation, we request all interested players to send us a non-refundable deposit of $20 US either by mailing the check or money order made to "ICAONA" to Yevgeniy Sklyarov, 34 Cliftwood Dr., Huntington NY USA 11743 or to make the same payment amount to our Paypal account by clicking here:
If desired, you can prepay your tournament deposit (or membership fees) completely. In case you need to make the cancellation later, the deposit minus non-refundable $20 will be returned back to you. |
